Tushar and Jyoti are a 21st century amalgam of culture. Raised in Florida and London respectively, they are a laid back, successful, fun-loving couple, who refuse to conform to any one segment of society. Instead, they choose to live on the fringes of various groups – never quite belonging to any, but bringing their diverse and ever-changing perspective to each, in a way that is raw, real and honest.
After years of dreaming of traveling the world – they have finally committed to make this dream come true and nothings gonna come in their way – despite a handful of small and even smelly hurdles in the weeks leading up to departure.
Tushar is a Certified Facilities Manager, interested in smart and unique buildings. In his spare time, he likes to work with his hands. This shows up in the form of house renovations, gardening, and conjuring up delicious one of a kind, homemade ice-cream. His friends describe him as passionate, fierce, and loyal to his values. He has a heart of gold ❤ all agree! He has loved to DJ for over 12 years – specializing in all forms of the modern breakbeat and has stayed true to his vinyl roots despite the technological revolution.
He met Jyoti, the love of his life, in December, 2000 at a birthday party in Florida when she was only 18 years old, having moved to the US just the previous year from the UK. From the moment he first saw her, he couldn’t get her out of his mind! Ever since this famed night where their world’s collided, they have been inseparable. They married in 2007, and etched their commitment to each other to the pages of history, after moving from Florida to Seattle to start their lives together.
Jyoti is a Flight Test Engineer by day. Having worked with experimental commercial test aircraft for almost 6 years, she is living out her childhood dream of being a successful, independent role model to future revolutionaries. She recently completed her Master’s in Organizational Design and Renewal and is now realizing what makes her tick are relationships and human experiences. She is addicted to the thrill of learning something new; having dabbled in many languages, Bharatanatyam dance, breakdancing, writing, dream analysis, storytelling, and DJing too…arguably passing Tushar 😉
Join them on their around the world adventures – living vicariously through them as they exploriment with culture and life.
